Jesse Block is a Video Producer/Director based in San Francisco. He focuses on creating Music Historical Documentaries such as:
“Brotherly Jazz – The Words and Music of The Heath Brothers,” Hot Tuna – “25 Years and Runnin’- Live at Sweetwater,”
John Cipollina “Electric Guitarslinger,” “David Bromberg at The Count Basie,” “Todd Rundgren LIve in San Francisco” and
“Dan Hicks’ 60th Birthday Bash At The Warfield” among many others.
His TV Directorial Credits include – “Live From The Starlight Room” (14 Episodes that aired on KGO/ABC in 1998,) The Anti Gravity Room
(a 30 Minute TV Magazine Show that ran on SciFi Channel from 1994-1998) and Black Entertainment’s Jazz Central (which ran on BET Jazz from 1994-2000.)
He has shot a Documentary in Cuba back in 1991 (Cuba Va) and in Burma in 2002 (Brides For My Brothers)
Jesse has been directing the Video from the Jimmy Lyons’ Arena at Monterey Jazz Festival since 2002 and
has assisted on American Masters Documentaries on Tony Bennett and Dave Brubeck.
